A 'Republitarian' Postion: The Last Four Years

The New America

Where was the 'Change'?
As the election of 2012 ended,

Over 122+ million people voted; as much as I didn't want it to be, I said “big congratulations Mister Obama”, but I was disappointed - as 49% of our nation was.

(But 51% said, “Hooray!”)

After Four Years,

I have realized what the new America has represented: Lies, incompetence, entitlement, deceit, racism, vulnerability, and free stuff.

At least that’s what the majority has represented.  I, myself, believe in the old America: Truth, confidence, transparency, equality, security, patriotism, our basic rights, and earning your keep.

I remember voting...

...For a man that fought for my beliefs, for the ‘old fashioned’.  Maybe this New America, the “Land of Entitlements” will be able to survive greater than the “Land of Opportunity” in the upcoming future.  I, however, do not think it will last.  Our principles as of November 4th, 2008 have been continuously compromised.  There is no longer “Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness”, just freebies and a sense of self entitlement.  It is apparent that the original founding principles and values that our nation was founded on are no longer with us.

 Today:

·         America is horrible

·         God no longer has meaning

·         Lying is acceptable

·         The government has more say than Mom and Dad

·         It is okay to commit a crime

·         You are entitled to everything

·         The government can distribute what others strive for

·         It is 'un-American' to disagree with authority

·         We work for the government and they are the ultimatum

'Chained' not 'Changed'

I believe in these original 12 Principles:

1.      America is good
2.      I believe in God
The original ideals stand true
3.      I must always try to be a more honest person than I was yesterday
4.      The family is sacred
5.      My spouse and I are the ultimate authority - not the government
6.      If you break the law, you pay the penalty
7.      Justice is blind and no one is above it
8.      I have a right to “Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness”, but there is no guarantee of equal results
9.      I work hard for what I have and I will share it with who I want to
10.  Government cannot force me to be charitable
11.  It is not un-American to disagree with authority or to share my personal opinion
12.  The government works for me.  I do not answer to them, they answer to me.

Our new values are:

 Lies; selfishness; hopelessness; fiscal irresponsibility; big egos;

distribution; deceit; carelessness; laziness; cowardliness; blaming others; and thanklessness.

Maybe someday, we'll return to the good ol' days
We ‘old-fashioned’ people have believed in:

Honesty; Reverence; Hope; Thrift; Humility; Charity; Sincerity; Moderation; Hard work; Courage; Personal Responsibility; and Gratitude.

But America has chosen a different path,

And I am proud to be a part of that 49%,

Not the entitled (or uninformed) 51%.

God Bless America, and may He save it.

A people that put privileges above principles soon loses both.”
