A 'Republitarian' Postion: The Last Four Years

The New America

Where was the 'Change'?
As the election of 2012 ended,

Over 122+ million people voted; as much as I didn't want it to be, I said “big congratulations Mister Obama”, but I was disappointed - as 49% of our nation was.

(But 51% said, “Hooray!”)

After Four Years,

I have realized what the new America has represented: Lies, incompetence, entitlement, deceit, racism, vulnerability, and free stuff.

At least that’s what the majority has represented.  I, myself, believe in the old America: Truth, confidence, transparency, equality, security, patriotism, our basic rights, and earning your keep.

I remember voting...

...For a man that fought for my beliefs, for the ‘old fashioned’.  Maybe this New America, the “Land of Entitlements” will be able to survive greater than the “Land of Opportunity” in the upcoming future.  I, however, do not think it will last.  Our principles as of November 4th, 2008 have been continuously compromised.  There is no longer “Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness”, just freebies and a sense of self entitlement.  It is apparent that the original founding principles and values that our nation was founded on are no longer with us.

 Today:

·         America is horrible

·         God no longer has meaning

·         Lying is acceptable

·         The government has more say than Mom and Dad

·         It is okay to commit a crime

·         You are entitled to everything

·         The government can distribute what others strive for

·         It is 'un-American' to disagree with authority

·         We work for the government and they are the ultimatum

'Chained' not 'Changed'

I believe in these original 12 Principles:

1.      America is good
2.      I believe in God
The original ideals stand true
3.      I must always try to be a more honest person than I was yesterday
4.      The family is sacred
5.      My spouse and I are the ultimate authority - not the government
6.      If you break the law, you pay the penalty
7.      Justice is blind and no one is above it
8.      I have a right to “Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness”, but there is no guarantee of equal results
9.      I work hard for what I have and I will share it with who I want to
10.  Government cannot force me to be charitable
11.  It is not un-American to disagree with authority or to share my personal opinion
12.  The government works for me.  I do not answer to them, they answer to me.

Our new values are:

 Lies; selfishness; hopelessness; fiscal irresponsibility; big egos;

distribution; deceit; carelessness; laziness; cowardliness; blaming others; and thanklessness.

Maybe someday, we'll return to the good ol' days
We ‘old-fashioned’ people have believed in:

Honesty; Reverence; Hope; Thrift; Humility; Charity; Sincerity; Moderation; Hard work; Courage; Personal Responsibility; and Gratitude.

But America has chosen a different path,

And I am proud to be a part of that 49%,

Not the entitled (or uninformed) 51%.

God Bless America, and may He save it.

A people that put privileges above principles soon loses both.”

Forget the Middle East - This is the True Threat:

The 'War on Terror' is closer than You Think.

Mexico has been a rising star in the crime world, and it seems that we refuse to address it.

The Mexican street-gangs accept all ages
The country that was once proud and growing, is now a country of drug trafficking and violence.
Mexico has some of the most strict gun laws in the world, yet Juarez, Mexico is the violence capitol of the world. Wyoming has some of the least-restrictive gun laws in the world, with almost no violence in the state. In Mexico, it's very easy to get a gun and people have no choice but to join a gang due to the lack of opportunity and jobs in Mexico. It's the lack of opportunity and jobs that leads to a life of crime.

Instead of giving foreign aid to developed, civilized countries that have the ability to support themselves, we should be giving aid to the Mexican Federal Police to fight the drug cartels and stop the drug trafficking into the U.S., considering the U.S. has the worst cocaine, heroin, and meth problem in our history.

We should get drones out of Pakistan...

...and put them on the U.S.-Mexico border where gangs are killing Americans and terrorists can easily cross into the U.S., instead of using them to kill innocent (as-in "innocent until proven guilty") people without trial, as the President sees fit.

Maybe, we should be worrying about our country's problems on the home front as much as we worry about the War on Terror thousands of miles away, instead of ignoring it.  The War on Terror is closer than you think.  It’s right under our noses, but we look right passed it.  The threat isn't just terrorists and drug cartels.  The real threat is politicians that have been fueling the nation's threats.  Secret programs such as Fast and Furious – created by your President, Barack Obama, and the machine – are that.

"Why does everyone always pick on me?"
Think of this:

Once illegal immigrants come over the border, what do they do?  They traffic guns and drugs, they illegally go on government assistance, and they illegally vote for politicians who will let more illegal immigrants do the same.  And what Party says they want undocumented immigration, less government assistance restrictions, and less guns for citizens to defend themselves against the guns they give to gangs?  Democrats: Obama and those who follow.

Isn't it strange how that works?

Americans are killed in Mexico, along the Mexican border, and throughout the country where cartels push drugs and guns.  But politicians want no restrictions on immigration, and want more restrictions on Americans who defend themselves – just for one thing...

...A vote.  I suggest a serious reality check for those who trust these people.

No, not these people.

....so where's the 'War on Terror' exactly?

Work with us:

"The Posterus" is looking for writers/editors

Are you someone who has an interest in writing?

This is what we imagine our office to look like.

Here at the Posterus, we are always looking for more talented people who are willing to put some time into making truly amazing websites.  The type of content that we will be delivering will broaden over time and include many different facets of life - the primary goal being to publish unique and interesting bits of information that many people will want to view.

Do you have skills?

As this website here is currently just a Blogspot, we are also interested in web-programmers with HTML and JAVAscript experience.  If you are someone who has these skills and don't yet have the experience that you need to join the big-shots, this could be your chance.

Artistic experience is also accepted - we wish to create websites that are not only unique in the content that they deliver but also in the way that it is presented.  Showcasing interesting art, photography, literature, tech and popular media will also be of importance here.

Yes, I am interested:

5 Reasons Why College is a Waste of Time

So you were told to go to college : Why that is a HUGE mistake

"I love college."
It is halfway through your senior year of high school  and already the pressure is on you to step up your educational game and start searching for a University that will be able to further enhance your mental and physical capabilities, hopefully resulting in a better job-outlook.
There is an increasing amount of people who are realizing that in many cases, post-secondary education is not the way to go.  Here are some reasons why attending college may actually be detrimental to your future:

1.  The tuition is way too expensive and not justifiable

Sure, we've all heard the traditional lecture - get good grades in high school, go to college and work off your college loans afterwards at a decently well-paying job.  But the experts are now chirping a different story.  After recent developments in the 'loan-acquisition department', it is now possible for anyone and everyone to afford to go to college.  ....Or so they say.  Most college graduates after 4 years will have as little as $50,000 and upwards of $100,000 or more in debt after graduating with a B.A. degree.  There is no room for that kind of debt, especially in this kind of economy, so if you aren't absolutely guaranteed a job coming out of college, it would seem that there almost isn't any use of getting a degree in the first place.  Aren't there some alternatives to attending a University and having crippling college debt?

Are you actually going to earn more money in the long run?

2.  There are alternatives to going to college

Go to a trade-school.  Presently, there are wonderful ways to make money instead of trudging through the traditional educational methods that most University students have to go through.  There are much quicker and easier ways of getting qualified in useful skills that can land you the same or higher paying jobs.  It simply isn't useful anymore to be overqualified for any type of job that you want to be hired for.  Factory workers who have gone to a tech school can make $40,000/year at an entry-level job.  No longer are young people choosing to be unemployed or being satisfied with working at low-level, minimum wage jobs if they don't go to college.  There are other ways - Tech and Vocational schools are often 2-year "degrees" that can be much more useful than the average college degree.  This is a useful option especially for people who are interested in mechanics, welding, cosmetics and many other more kinetically-heavy  careers.
This man is getting paid a decent salary too, and he didn't even attend college

3. Being overqualified is just as bad as being under-qualified

Back in the day, if you were overqualified, you could still get hired for a great job - in fact, it was even desired to be a little bit overqualified for the job that you wanted.  Now, however, the job-market has changed, and employers are looking for prospective employees who are a bit more directly suited for the jobs that they are applying for.  Although most employers won't admit it, they are looking for someone who can perform better at the tasks in the job description not simply the person who has more education about them.  In the real world, the employee that can make the most money for their firm/company will get the job, regardless of how many degrees they have.  This might seem somewhat counter-intuitive, but someone who knows too much about how to do something is often the person who is actually the worst at doing it in real life.

Not getting a job because you have too much education?  Huh?

4.  You learn a lot of useless information in college

During most people's college years, they are forced to take many classes that do not have any real-world applications.  In fact, the majority of the classes that most people take in the average 4-year college degree have almost no relevance to the major that the students are pursuing.  Then why do these students have to take these courses?  It all comes down to money.  The longer a student is enrolled in college, regardless of how many credits he is taking, the more he will end up spending.  And this money is going right into the pockets of the University superiors.  So why are they forcing their students to take four foreign-language classes when they are going into the computer sciences?  You can bet your top dollar that most of these skills learned in the "extra" classes will never be used or looked at by employers.  Well, unless you are taking 'Ancient Chinese Arithmetic Ballroom Theatrics'.  This is one of the reasons why the average 4-year degree is now taking 5 years to complete....

By the time you're done with all your elective classes, you'll be as old as this man.

5.  College is a waste of the prime of your life

For most people, the earlier years of their lives are spent gaining knowledge - knowledge that would someday prepare them for the 'big leagues' of some University campus.  Little do they know that once they get there, they aren't about to be challenged; they aren't about to be prepared for the 'big leagues' of some high-paying job.  They are about to spend the next 4 (or 5) years listening to politically-biased speech after time-wasting lecture on material that, for the most part, they could have just learned on the internet (at places like this site).  The majority of college students will drink: a lot.  And, overall, the experience that students get just isn't the same as it was 50 years ago.  We live in the age where life is fast-paced, and no one has time for pointless 'education'.  College-age is the time of life that people have the energy, bodies, and minds that can make a real difference in both the communities and in their individual selves.  It isn't there to waste.

These students are going to try to get hired someday by professional companies.

In conclusion, whether or not you have gone to college, are in college right now, or plan on going to college in the future, there are always things that you can do personally in order to become the most financially, physically, mentally, and emotionally successful that you can be.  And in this day in age, it just comes down to the fact that going to college might not be the right choice for everyone.  Not that it is necessarily a bad option, but there are better things that you can be doing with your life.  Start a business, learn a useful trade, take an online class in something that you can apply to your life, and for the love of god, don't just go to college because your Daddy said that it would be a good idea.

Introduction - Start Here

The Posterus: What is the purpose of this website?

- Working together towards the common interest

You are here because you undoubtedly stumbled upon (not literally) this web page in your meanderings of the Internet.  At this day in age, there are so many blogs and other media that exist just for the sole purpose of being someone's 'diary', AKA no one ends up reading them and they get lost in the endless amass of cyberspace.

This may or may not be one of those blogs.

This is an opportunity: one that you have been searching for along with me - a place for new ideas to be bounced around, a place for people to come together and maybe create something that will actually have an impact in others' lives.  Someday from now, this might end up as not just being a blog, but having a website of its own - so if you are reading this and have any skill in programming or artistic skill or intellect that wants to be a part of a growing community of people with similar ideals and goals, then please contact me ASAP (a link to my E-Mail is in my profile).  It is through social networking that we can bring about technological and social change.

That brings us to the current working title of this blog: "The Posterus".

The reason I chose this title (other than the fact that so many of the other names that I had for this blog were taken up by other people already and then left to stagnate in the dust) is because Posterus is the Greek word for "future".  This blog may not currently at the present be a massive organization of people or even anything worth talking about - in the present.  But that all will change in the future.

- More and more users aggregate

The more hits that this gets, and the more people that want to truly join a community that wants to have an impact on a larger scale, the more everyone's voice will be heard.  We cannot do this alone, but over time and with the proper resources, there is nothing that can't be accomplished.

So E-Mail me.  Even if you are just finding this blog out of random curiosity or because you were linked to here from some other site.  Write down some of your greatest ideas that you wish to share with other people.

  • Anonymous goals
  • Inner struggles
  • Massive endeavors

This is your website.  And it is ours.

No views or opinions will be rejected based upon political stance - this is a place for everyone to share different ideals.
